SERVICE POLICIES

By scheduling a cleaning service with Southern Maid Cleaning Co, LLC ("the Company"), you, the client ("Client"), agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Assumption of Risk: The Client acknowledges and accepts that cleaning services, while conducted with the utmost care, involve certain inherent risks, including but not limited to the potential for damage to personal property, belongings, or surfaces. The Client agrees to assume all risks associated with these services.

  2. Damage to Property: While the Company strives to prevent damage during cleaning, the Client understands that Southern Maid Cleaning Co. cannot be held liable for incidental damage caused by regular cleaning processes, such as wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or issues caused by improperly maintained surfaces. In the event of accidental damage, the Company will notify the Client and work toward a reasonable solution, but will not be held liable beyond the cost of the service.

  3. Health and Safety Concerns: The Company will use cleaning agents and methods that are generally safe for the property and occupants of the premises. However, the Client agrees to inform Southern Maid Cleaning Co. of any specific health or safety concerns or allergies before cleaning commences.

  4. Release of Liability: The Client hereby releases and holds harmless Southern Maid Cleaning Co, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or claim arising out of the cleaning services provided, including but not limited to accidents, property damage, or injury resulting from the cleaning process, unless caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Company.

  5. Indemnification: The Client agrees to indemnify and defend Southern Maid Cleaning Co. against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the Client’s own actions or negligence, including failure to disclose important information about property conditions or health concerns.

  6. Modification of Terms: Southern Maid Cleaning Co, LLC reserves the right to modify or update this General Liability Release at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Client prior to the next scheduled service.

  7. Payment: Southern Maid Cleaning Co, LLC accepts all major credit and debit cards or cash and we do require a payment method either on file or full payment upon booking to secure booking and to prevent financial loss for the cleaning technicians and company itself. Cash is acceptable in a sealed envelope upon arrival for services, however, if no payment is provided the card on file will be charged.

  8. Quote: Prices and hours are based on your accurate description of the condition of your home. Price Increase will only apply if:

    • We find the condition is inconsistent with your description, we will call you and ask for a time adjustment and price increase or offer other options.

    • We cannot reach you and you have not pre-approved additional time, we will only stay the amount of time you paid for, and quality will be compromised.

    • Additional Bio-Hazard or Extreme Filth Conditions exist undisclosed prior to booking.

  9. Scheduling and cancellations: Southern Maid Cleaning Co. makes every effort to accommodate your scheduling needs and are generally flexible with scheduling. Please reach out for any accommodations or adjustments. Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to booking for no fee charged to the card on file. If a last minute cancellation is made, a $75 non-refundable fee will be due to rectify the account and/or continue services with our company. No-Show fee, $75 non-refundable fee will be charged to the card on file if we arrive to complete your scheduled services and we are unable to perform scheduled duties or unable to access the property.

  10. Pets: If your pets are sociable and friendly, we do not mind them roaming the house-we love pets! However, for the protection of your pets and our staff, we request that any pet which may become nervous or aggressive during our visits be either kenneled, restrained to a room in which we will not be cleaning, or kept outside in a fenced area that our staff will not have to cross. If a Southern Maid Cleaning Co. technician is injured by an unrestrained or aggressive pet, the homeowner will be held liable for all medical expenses.

  11. Guarantee: Ideally, we would appreciate it if you or your representative could walk through the house with us toward the end of the cleaning. Our service is guaranteed and we appreciate the opportunity to re-clean the unsatisfactory areas if you are not satisfied, but we cannot return to re-clean if we are not notified within 24 hours of the cleaning. Because of the subjective nature of cleaning, refunds are not available.

By booking cleaning services with Southern Maid Cleaning Co, LLC, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this General Liability Release and Waiver of Claims.
